February Meeting Minutes

February 15, 2018 Meeting


President Kelly in the chair.

10 members present.

Prez Kelly reported that elections to replace VP Ang who has moved to Edmonton would take place later in the meeting.

Tune Up Ride

Past Prez Ronny said he has a meeting with Jim the riding instructor next week and would discuss the Spring Tune Up Ride, possibly set for the May 12 and 13 weekend. Prez Kelly will secure the location and insurance coverage.


Randy is selling tickets for the Ride For Dad Spring Fundraiser to be held at Schanks on Macleod Trail South on Marc h 24 in the afternoon.

First Aid

Ronny suggested that we bring in a First Aid expert to give us a crash course in emergency road side first aid (what to do until the EMTs arrive.) After discussion, he said he would investigate this for the April meeting and possibly invite the Indian Riders as well.

Two Wheel Sunday

DrifterDon reported that Two Wheel Sunday postponed their meeting to February 21 and he and/or James would report on it next meeting. A site walk through is planned for March and the Victory Riders would be looking for a good locations for the Show & Shine.

Cycle Works

No report from Cycle Works this month; Vince is on vacation.

Garage Sale

Dates for the Garage Sale were discussed with June looking like the most viable date. James will confirm this with Cycle Works.


The website – – has been revamped and items are being added to the Rides & Events Calendar. Members are encouraged to add other rides and events as well.

New Members

New members Karen and Tony were introduced. They own a greenhouse farm in Nanton and said they would like to host a blub ride-in there sometime this Spring

Vice President

James nominated Drifter Don to fill the vacant Vice President position. The motion passed.

Next meeting is March 15 at Cycle Works Calgary.
